Chinese mobile phone maker ZTE Corporation is reportedly getting ready for the launch of a new handset in its Nubia series, and might be set to make the handset official sometime next month.
Supposedly called ZTE Nubia Z7, the mobile phone has been rumored for quite some time now, but it seems that the handset vendor is finally ready to make it official. According to a recent report coming from CNMO, the handset will be launched in March or in April this year, with a large touchscreen display and powerful hardware capabilities packed inside. In fact, the Chinese website claims that the upcoming device will sport a 6.44-inch touchscreen display, which would bring it in line with Sony’s Xperia Z Ultra smartphone. Moreover, the upcoming handset is said to arrive on shelves with specs and capabilities far above those of Nubia Z5S, the latest device to have been launched in the Nubia series. On top of that, as PhoneArena notes, Nubia Z7 might be launched with a brand new user interface, featuring a flat, minimalist design.
Nevertheless, the smartphone would run under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, which means that it will further sport the latest enhancements that the Android platform was packed with. An allegedly leaked image with the UI is available for your viewing pleasure as well, offering a view of the notification center to be included in it. The upcoming ZTE Nubia Z7 is expected to become available with a quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM-8974AB processor inside, while also featuring 128MB of internal memory. The phone’s back camera will feature flash, it seems, but the rest of its hardware specifications are not known at the moment. Provided that the aforementioned March release timeframe pans out, some more info on the smartphone should start emerging in the not-too-distant future, so stay tuned to learn more on it.
