Computer maker HP is expected to launch a new Android-based tablet PC in the not-too-distant future, namely the HP Slate 8 Prom, which has made an appearance in benchmarks recently.
Codenamed Bodhi, the slate was spotted over at GFXBench, listed with an 8-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 1600 x 1200 pixels resolution, while featuring a 250ppi pixel density. Furthermore, the upcoming device is said to pack a 1.8 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 4 chipset inside, along with 2GB of RAM.
The specs list of the yet-unofficial HP Slate 8 Pro is also said to include a 5000+ mAh battery, microSD memory card slot, and Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top. Apparently, the device has managed to score 5489 frames (48.6 Fps) in the Egypt 2.5 HD onscreen component in GFXBench, a result that brings it close to Sony’s Xperia Z Ultra, phoneArena notes.
