Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has been long rumored to plan the release of a tablet PC running under Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system, and new reports on the matter suggest that the device is already being tested by AT&T in the United States.
The rumor comes shortly after the wireless carrier was said to have started testing the 41-megapixel Nokia EOS smartphone internally, although no official confirmation on the matter has emerged until now. According to a recent article on NokiaPowerUser, the slate might become official along with Nokia EOS soon, or could be unveiled as part of a separate announcement next month. For the time being, however, we'll take the rumor with a grain of salt.
Although specifics on the tablet PC are not available at the moment, chances are that it would be released as a 10-inch device, running the Windows RT OS.
