Although it said a few weeks ago that it had no plans on releasing a new flavor of HTC One packing stock Android on top, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC did make such a move.
The company officially announced the device, claiming that it sports a Nexus User Experience, though featuring the same hardware already included inside HTC One. The smartphone will be sold through the Google Play Store starting with June 26, and will feature a price tag of $599 (460 Euro).
Based on Android 4.2.2, the phone will be available in the United States in the beginning, with support for GSM networks. “We will continue to offer the SIM unlocked and Developer Edition phones direct from HTC,” HTC also announced, adding that “The HTC One special edition bootloader can be unlocked by standard method for ‘Nexus experience’ devices”
