Despite 750 Mbps being considered high on the performance scale of dual-band wireless routers, ASUS has gone well beyond that mark. Beyond 200% even.
The reason? AiRadar beamforming technology, which increases connection strength and range by 150%. And since there are two bands, the overall increase grows cumulatively as well, hence the transfer speed of 1900 Mbps. USB connectors are added as well, to allow any device connected to the network to access extra files. One could, for instance, plug in an external HDD with a video and/or music library and listen to it or watch it on tablets, phones, PCs, media players, Smart TVs, etc.
Price-wise, I'm thinking around $200 / €200, but don't quote me on it. It might end up higher (I doubt it could possibly go below, given the ludicrous performance).
