Last week, South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics announced the availability of a new software update for its Optimus G Pro handsets starting with April 12, and it seems that users have already started to receive it.
The update is, in fact, the same Value Pack upgrade that was made official in mid-March, and which was detailed in a video last week. After installing it, owners of an Optimus G Pro will be able to enjoy features such as Smart Video, which will pause a video when the user stops looking at a screen, and Dual Camera, which will enable users to shoot with the phone’s back and front cameras at the same time.
Furthermore, following the update, users will be able to pause and resume video recording as they please, it seems. As Pocketnow notes, the update is still based on Android 4.1.2, and there's no info available on when an Android 4.2.2 upgrade might arrive.
LG Optimus G Pro is the first device to receive cutting-edge eye recognition features:
- Smart Video: Recognizes the position of the viewer's eyes and automatically plays or stops the video without any manual input from the user.
- Dual Camera: Simultaneously captures photographs of both the subject and the shooter using both the front and back cameras for a picture-in-picture composition.
- Pause & Resume Recording: Allows the user to pause and start in record mode for one continuous video file.
With the Optimus G Pro, everything is beyond your expectation.
