XiaoMi Phone 2 is among the most popular Android smartphones available in China. Every time the manufacturer released a new batch of devices, it was sold out in a matter of minutes.
The last time XiaoMi Phone 2 was up for purchase, the Chinese company sold its entire stock of 150,000 units in about 2 minutes. It looks like XiaoMi’s success with this device has been noticed by major carriers in the Mainland. Thus, GSM Insider reports that XiaoMi Phone 2 is now slated for a late January release at China Telecom. Although there are no details on the phone’s pricing options, we know that the device will pack the same features as the unlocked version.
XiaoMi Phone 2 is equipped with a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB of RAM. Furthermore, the smartphone boasts an impressive 8-megapixel rear camera and comes with support for GSM/CDMA2000/1X EV-DO bands.
