Yesterday, Samsung started to send out invites to an Unpacked event set for August 29th at IFA 2012 in Berlin, where the Galaxy Note 2 was expected to make an appearance.
Today, confirmation on the matter comes from Samsung themselves, even if an official announcement hasn’t been made. "We plan to unveil the next Galaxy Note at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin on August 29," a Samsung spokesperson told Reuters.
No specific details on what the device might include have been unveiled so far, but rumor has it that the phone would be larger than its predecessor, at 5.5-inch. Moreover, it is expected to pack a quad-core application processor, the same as Galaxy S III, and some even say that it might run under Android 4.1 Jelly Bean right from the start.
