Motorola is nowhere near the release of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the Motorola DROID RAZR HD smartphone, but the owners of the Developer Edition flavor of the device can already get a taste of the platform, though from unofficial sources.
To be more precise, an alpha build of CyanogenMod 10 (CM10) for the DROID RAZR HD Developer Edition (XT926) is now available for download, though with some caveats. First of them is the fact that the ROM will work only on the Developer Edition. Any attempt to load it on the stock device might end up in harming the phone.
Secondly, there’s the alpha tag that the ROM sports attached to it, which means that users might bump into all sorts of problems with it, including crashes and the like. Those who are still interested in giving it a try should head to this thread on XDA-Developers.
