OXID eShop is a PHP-based e-commerce platform for creating your own online stores. It is a great alternative to other similar e-commerce platforms like Magento, PrestaShop, OpenCart, TomatoCart or osCommerce.
OXID can handle any shop requirements and features, providing full access to a wide range of tools from themes, to plugins and up to marketing and promotion utilities. Oxid-eShop! sounds like a promising framework to me and if it is as good as Magento then it does have a bright future. I will definitely give it a try and will recommend to my clients. I just hope some hosting provider steps in and provide specialized hosting server. As, many of them are providing specialized Magento hosting server.
