An image provided by a tipster to phoneArena shows what could potentially be the micro-SIM card required by Apple’s next-generation of iPads to connect to the carrier’s LTE network.
Leaked by a “store contact,” who claimed that AT&T staff have been instructed to do away with their existing micro-SIMs and replace them with these ones, the SIMs came with a memo from AT&T high-ups. Unfortunately (for the Apple fan base), the memo does little to specify what these new SIMs are for.
However, with Apple gearing up to unveil a potentially LTE-capable iPad next month, there’s little doubt about where these babies will go. Not to mention there’s an iPhone 5 in the pipeline which, by all means, better have LTE networking, or else Apple fans will be quite disgruntled.
