Even though 3D hasn’t really managed to catch on in the PC or HDTV markets, a small company known as teXet tries to make it popular in the tablet space.
teXet plans to achieve this with the launch of the TM-7025, a 7-inch Android tablet that is now running on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, with the promise of Ice Cream Sandwich coming later.
Going past its 3D video support (a special pair of glasses is needed for viewing stereoscopic images), the TM-7025 is pretty much a no-frills Android slate that features a low-res 7-inch 800x480 display, a single-core Boxchip A10 Cortex A8 SoC, 512MB of RAM, and just 4GB of internal memory.
Other features include WiFi, a 0.3 megapixel front camera, a miniUSB port, and HDMI output, all of these coming for a fair $200 US (about 151 EUR), according to UberGizmo.
The teXet table has already begun selling in Russia, but it should also be out to other countries soon.
