Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is preparing the release of a new software update for its Nokia N950 developer handset, namely MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan.
The company has already informed developers of the availability of this software update, though it did not deliver a specific release date for it, MyNokiaBlog notes.
One of the changes that Harmattan 1.2 will bring along is a system font change, which will impact developers and their applications for the mobile operating system.
“We have done our best to ensure full binary compatibility from Harmattan 1.0 and 1.1 (and 1.1.1 Arabic) to Harmattan 1.2, but we want to offer developers the opportunity to test and verify their apps on the real thing before actual global roll out of the consumer release,” Nokia told devs.
The new software update will arrive on Nokia N950 Developer Device as a one-click-flasher. The update will be pushed to devices in beta.
