At CES 2012 in Las Vegas, mobile phone maker Motorola Mobility announced the release of a successor for its DROID RAZR smartphone, namely the DROID RAZR MAXX.
The handset was unveiled with support for Verizon Wireless’ network, but no specific info on when it might arrive on shelves emerged at that time.
However, it appears that Motorola let slip on its website that the device would be launched on January 26th, and that it would be available from both Motorola and Verizon.
The release date has been since taken off the company’s website, but some lucky people managed to take a shot of the announcement. Currently, the website says that DROID RAZR MAXX is “coming soon.”
When released, the new mobile phone should feature a price tag of $300 on-contract, at least this is what a recently leaked Verizon MAP showed.
