Last week, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia announced the release of an over-the-air software update for its MeeGo-powered Nokia N9 smartphone, and the new firmware is available via the Nokia Software Updater as well, it seems.
The new update, released as software version 20.2011.40-4, brought along a nice range of enhancements when compared to the previously available firmware on the device.
Those users who were not able to download and install the new software over the air should try downloading and installing it via the Software Updater now.
Nokia packed the new software with features like NFC tag reading, better multitasking, Swype for faster typing, new notifications for the standby screen, music controls on lock screen, and more.
To install the software update via the Nokia Software Updater, users will have to connect the handset to a Windows PC that features the app. It can be downloaded as well, below.
