While unlocking a forgotten passcode on basic Apple iPod is not very hard neither is the resetting of volume lock as shared earlier, you might be unlucky if you have a non-jailbroken Apple iPod Touch and does not have the PC you last synced via iTunes with you as the only option to unlock the disabled iPod is to use your original PC with iTunes. The only solution to get rid of this situation is demonstrated ahead.
Disabled Apple iPod Touch After Forgotten Lock PassCode
The only way To Unlock the disabled iPod is to restore it via iTunes which also means you will loose all your data/music on the device. Here is how to go about it :
- Make your device neter the DFU mode as shown below.
- Once your device is in DFU mode launch iTunes and it should be detected as "in recovery mode".
- If you have a .IPSW file ready for your device browse for it using Shift + Click on restore button, if not simply click the restore button and let iTunes download the firmware file.
- iTunes will now wipe the device and you will have a blank device without the passcode.
